Terms & Conditions and Useful information

It is deemed that any person who books and pays for a stay, either for themselves or on behalf of others has read and is in agreement with the following terms and conditions.

When booking with Deer Park Campsite Eridge Ltd you are agreeing to enter into a binding contract with us.  References to “us” and “we” in these conditions relate to Deer Park Campsite Eridge Ltd and references to “you” and “your” relate to the person making the booking and all members of that person’s party.

When we email confirmation of a reservation to you we enter into a contract with you which is subject to these Booking Conditions.

1. Liability
a. Save as set out below, we do not accept any liability of any description for any person or property using the campsite.  It is your responsibility to look after your possessions, person and minors throughout your stay.
b. Nothing in these terms and conditions limits any liability which cannot legally be limited including liability for:
1. Death or personal injury caused by negligence

2. Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
c. Subject to (b) above, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid for your stay.
d. We shall have no liability to you for any failure to perform any of our obligations under the contract if and to the extent that the failure is caused by matters outside of our control, including (but not limited to) act of God, government restrictions, epidemic, health risks or by reason of any act done or not done pursuant to trade dispute, shortages of labour or material or breakdown of machinery (“force majeure”).  You should have adequate holiday insurance in place and claim any refunds or costs against this insurance if possible.
e. By its very nature the campsite is a natural environment.  There are natural hazards such as ponds, tree roots and limited lighting after dark.  By booking and coming to the campsite you agree to be responsible for your children and your own welfare and to take all reasonable precautions against personal injury, injury to others and damage to the environment.

2. General Information
a. Arrivals – 2pm-7pm (later arrivals by prior agreement only)
Departures – Pitches to be vacated by Midday
Friday’s, Saturday’s & Bank Holidays
Adults 18+ – £19.50 per night

Children 3 – 14 years – £11.50 per night
Under 3 years – Free
Sunday – Thursday

Adults 18+ – £12.50
Children 3 – 14 years – £6.50
c. Payments and Cancellations
1. 2022 Bookings:
50% deposit payment taken at booking online by credit card.
Balance payable by credit card online 1 month before arrival date.
No cash payments accepted.
2022 Cancellations:
Cancellations more than 1 month before arrival will receive a full refund.
Cancellations up to 7 days before arrival will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations 7 days or less there will be no refund.
All refunds offered are less any non-refundable fees charged by 3rd party booking agents (Pitchup, Campsites.co.uk, Cool Camping).
Please contact us if you need to cancel your booking.
2. Cancellations due to Covid 19 – we can ONLY postpone or refund a booking in the event that it is cancelled due to government enforced restrictions or proof of a positive Covid diagnosis. All other cancellations that fall outside of our T&Cs will need to be covered by your holiday insurance. Please provide the full names of each party member at the time of booking as only these will be taken into consideration in the event that any guests contract Covid 19 or are required to self-isolate in conjunction with government guidelines regarding Covid 19 ahead of the bookings start date. We will require a medical certificate confirming a positive test result matching one of the names on the original booking for you to qualify for a refund. This will be in place until Covid 19 is included in holiday insurance.
d. We have 20 large spacious grass pitches nestled beside the woodland and framed with long grass and wildflowers.
e. Each pitch is a minimum of 10m by 8m with plenty of space between them and can hold up to 6 people per pitch (for larger groups please contact us).
f. Pitches are suitable for tents only. Camper vans and touring vehicles are not permitted in Great Robbins Shaw. Please note that you cannot park your van on your pitch.
g. Great Robbins Shaw has 20 pitches and is located closest to the campsite reception area. These pitches are for a maximum of 6 guests. There is just one parking space per pitch in this area and the parking is close by. If you are bringing more than one car then you must book an additional pitch.
h. If you want to make a multiple pitch booking then you need to place a new booking for each pitch that you require. Alternatively you can contact us to discuss your requirements and we can add them to your existing booking.
i. Wheelbarrows are available for carrying your equipment between car and pitch. Please return them once you have unloaded so that they are available for other guests to use.
j. There are washing up points, hot showers, toilets and disabled facilities.
k. Your booking is only confirmed once you have received your confirmation email.
l. Bookings of 1 night are accepted. However there is a minimum of 2 nights from Friday to Sunday and Bank Holiday weekends.
m. Muster Point – in the event that the Rotary Bell alarm is sounded, please make your way to the Muster Point located at the reception building.

3. Environment
a. The campsite sits in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is a 9pm loud music curfew in Great Robbins Shaw. Please respect other guests and adhere to quiet hours.
b. You are welcome to walk in the Estate on the permitted routes but please stick to the paths indicated. There are other tenants and activities on the state so we would ask you to treat them with respect. No-go areas are clearly marked so please obey the signs, and do not feed the horses, deer or sheep.
c. Please leave your pitch as clean as you found it, we do have onsite recycling facilities and there are plenty of rubbish bins.

4. Fires and BBQs
a. Firepits and campfires are not allowed and the burning of wood and foraging for wood is strictly forbidden.
b. BBQ’s are allowed – charcoal or gas
c. Charcoal will be available to purchase from the onsite shop located next to the reception building.
d. There are fire safety points with extinguishers at the edge of the camping fields.
e. Please ensure that any children are fully supervised near BBQs.

5. Dogs
We are a dog free zone. No dogs are allowed except for assistance dogs. This is due to the abundance of wildlife and livestock found in close proximity to the campsite. We appreciate your understanding of this policy.

6. Reception, Shop and Café
a. The shop and reception have a good selection of products for your camping needs and much more. There is also a food store selling snacks and other local delights.
b. The Deer Park Café is open 9am to 5pm and is open to the public as well as campsite guests. This is an independent business so please respect the local customers who are regular visitors to the premises.

7. Vehicles
a. Everyone on the campsite should be aware of vehicles in and around the camping fields and take steps to remain safe.
b. Vehicles should not exceed 10mph on the campsite.
c. Drivers should proceed with extreme caution at all times whilst on the campsite.

8. Children
Parents/guardians are responsible for the welfare of themselves and their children on the campsite and surrounding area at all times.

9. Evictions
We reserve the rights to evict anyone at any time who acts in a manner which is deemed to put themselves or others at risk or who is acting unreasonably to the detriment of other campers or the site staff with no refund or compensation payable.

10. Jurisdiction
This contract and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

11. Privacy
You acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of our privacy policy.

12. Third Party Rights
Nothing in this agreement is intended to nor shall it confer in any way any rights on any third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1991.

13. Notices
Unless otherwise expressly stated in these terms and conditions, all notices from you to us must be in writing and sent to our contact address at Estate Office, Eridge Park, Tunbridge Wells TN3 9JT and all notices from us to you will be displayed on our website from time to time or sent via email or mail.
